Top 5 Favourite Lip Products

My lip product collection is quite small compared to other bloggers, due to me finding anything too vibrant a little daunting until about a year ago. There still isn’t a great variety of bold colours in my collection, however I do own a few reds now! The products I’m featuring are the ones I use most often and really love.

Maybelline Color Drama Intense Velvet Lip Pencil in Red Essential £4.99 – Currently my favourite red, this product is matte and long lasting without drying out the lips which is an essential for me. The texture does feel like velvet and it is smooth plus so comfortable to wear you almost forget you’re wearing it. At £4.99 you really can’t go wrong with these, I’m definitely going to pick up some more shades.

MAC Lipstick in Creme Cup  £15.50 – You probably don’t need an introduction to Creme Cup, because you most likely own it already, it is one of Macs most popular lipsticks after all! However if you don’t, Creme Cup is a blue undertone pale pink shade with a cremesheen finish. The only downside is the lasting power, it doesn’t last long and you will need to reapply after some time. Other than that, a great lipstick.

Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayon in Red Sunrise £7.99 – Lip crayons are my favourite, they are so easy and quick to apply. This shade is more of a pinky red and the formula is light and glossy without being sticky. Bourjois suggest it lasts for 10 hours, however it only lasts a few hours so reapplication is needed.

MAC Lipstick in Fanfare £15.50 – My first ever Mac lipstick! Last year, I wanted to purchase a lipstick from Mac, I had no idea what shade to get but eventually I picked Fanfare and what a great choice it was! Fanfare is a salmon pink shade with a cremesheen finish so it is incredibly creamy. It isn’t overly pigmented on the lips so it’s a very flattering day to day lipstick and perfect for work or school. It also lasts a little while longer than Creme Cup.

Makeup Revolution Ultra Velour Lip Cream in Not One For Playing Games £3.00 – When I look at this in the tube, it is really daunting. I thought it would never be a colour I could pull off, but I was wrong. This shade is a violet purple but not an ‘in your face’ bright purple which it looks like it could be until you apply it. This formula is matte without the dryness and really long lasting. A real bargain lip product. You can read my review on the Makeup Revolution Ultra Velour Lip Creams here.
