At the moment I’m obsessed with coral lipsticks, especially with it now being nearly summer, it is the perfect lip shade for the warmer months. I already own two coral lipsticks, but you can never have enough really! It’s so hard to say no to a pretty lipstick in pretty packaging, right? I haven’t tried much from Collection although their Lasting Perfection Concealer is my ultimate favourite, so I was excited to give this lipstick from their new Field Day range a go!
These lipsticks are the first matte lipsticks released by Collection, there are 2 matte lipsticks and a gloss in this Field Day range. It was pretty tough not picking up the two other shades (Pink Rose & Fuschia) but I resisted. The packaging of this lipstick is so simple but really pretty at the same time.
This lipstick is a matte formula but is not drying whatsoever. It is quite smooth, comfortable and actually very moisturising. I have very dry lips so I tend to avoid matte lip products, however I’ve been very lucky with the few that I do own as they are actually very comfortable to wear. This lipstick glides on really easily with a nice subtle look, however it is buildable so you can layer it for a more intense look. It also has great lasting power, lasting for a good few hours before you need to re-apply.
I would recommend using a lip scrub with a balm before applying as this lipstick can really highlight dry, chapped lips and it just does not look nice in the slightest! Using a lip scrub will give a more smooth finish and it will look much better. I made the mistake of applying this the first time without using a lip scrub, NOT a good look!
This lipstick has a lovely sweet scent to it, the best way I can describe it is like pic ‘n’ mix sweets! For £2.99 this lipstick is a great bargain. I think I’ll definitely be going back and picking up the other two shades!
