I’m a huge fan of Makeup Revolution but I was yet to try out any of their highly popular eyeshadow palettes. So I decided to pick up the Iconic Pro 2 palette after a difficult time deciding as Makeup Revolution have many palettes to choose from, the rose gold cardboard packaging is what drew me in eventually, if only the actual palette was rose gold! I’m obsessed. The Iconic Pro 2 palette features 16 eyeshadows, 8 of which are matte and 8 that are shimmer. This palette said to be a dupe for the Lorac Pro 2 palette, a gorgeous palette that we unfortunately can’t get in the UK, so obviously a much cheaper and more accessible version is welcomed.
The packaging of this palette is great, usually with budget brand eyeshadow palettes I find the packaging can be quite flimsy and cheap looking, however this palette is really sturdy with a handy large mirror inside. The palette also contains a double ended ‘Pro-1989‘ eyeshadow brush, I’m yet to use this as I like to stick to my trusty Real Techniques eyeshadow brushes but I will give it a go soon.
As mentioned before this palette contains 16 gorgeous eyeshadows, all very wearable shades which are perfect for both day and nighttime looks. The formula of these eyeshadows is amazing – highly pigmented, easy to blend and it definitely feels like these eyeshadows should be in a more expensive palette, they have an extremely buttery texture and feel quite luxurious.
While we may all lust over the more pricey eyeshadow palettes such as the Urban Decay Naked palettes or the Lorac Pro palettes, it is really worth giving a budget brand, such as Makeup Revolution a go, I’ve not once been disappointed by any of their products and this eyeshadow palette hasn’t changed that at all! When you consider the price, it is an amazing bargain. Definitely considering picking up another one of their palettes in the future!
