Hi everyone! First of all, apologies for not posting in nearly a week! I went to take photos for this specific post last week and somehow the SD card ended up getting damaged, I thought I had another one lying around but could I find it? Of course not! So I had to wait until I could buy a new one, but I’m back now! I have to admit, it was nice to have a little break! So, onto the actual post.. The Soap and Glory Solar Powder Bronzer is a fairly new purchase of mine but I have been using it a lot since I got it! I’ve never been that big on bronzing/contouring however this is so subtle that it’s the perfect bronzer for me and my pale skin..
The Soap and Glory Solar Powder Bronzer
had been on my wish list for ages after reading and hearing so many good things about it and also because of how pretty it looked too. But as I mentioned in my Soap and Glory haul (here.)
a couple of months back, my local Boots only has a very small selection of their make up in store. When I looked that time, there was only one in stock and it had been broken into smithereens. However when I went in a couple of weeks ago, there were a lot more available and thankfully, all untouched so I was finally able to get my hands on one. Yey.
This powder bronzer has two sides – a lighter highlighting shade with subtle shimmer and a darker matte bronze shade. When you first use this product it also has a light pink layer on top which is super pretty but obviously disappears after the first few uses. I love that you can mix both shades up for a lovely glow overall or use separately to contour – I’ve not tried this product yet to contour however I’m going to try and give it a go very soon!
This bronzer is perfect for pale skin. In the past I’ve used bronzers that just look too obvious, seem to sit on the skin and look quite patchy and orange. Not a good look! The Soap & Glory Solar Powder Bronzer however is so light and subtle that it just gives a lovely glow to the skin for a flattering sun-kissed look. Something I’ve been trying to achieve for a good while now!
The packaging is a bit of a let down however. It is compact with a little mirror inside perfect for usage on the go but because the packaging is cardboard it will get dirty very quickly and it just bugs me a little. But that’s probably just me!
I’m so glad I finally picked this up because now that it’s summer I’m going to be using this pretty much every day! If your pale skinned and having trouble finding a good bronzer that doesn’t leave you looking orange, I definitely recommended you buy this next time you’re in Boots! It is a little on the pricey side for a drugstore bronzer however it is so worth it! A definite re-purchase when I hit pan on this one for sure!
Have you tried the Soap & Glory Solar Powder Bronzer? What’s your opinion on it? Also, do you have any other bronzer recommendations for pale people? Leave a comment below!
