As it was my birthday a few weeks back, I decided to treat myself to some higher end beauty and skincare bits. I picked up two products I needed and others that have been on my wish list for a while now. As you can see this haul is a bit Clinique heavy, they have definitely become one of my favourite brands since trying out their Custom Repair serum, recently. Warning, this haul includes possibly the prettiest blush you’ve ever seen. 😉
Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion +
I needed a new moisturiser so I decided to try this one by Clinique. It’s quite heavy and thick so not ideal for usage before make up but for after removing make up its perfect. This moisturiser is aimed at those with dry complexions like myself and I’m really loving this so far. I just wish I spent a little bit more and got the version with the pump as there is a tendency to pour out way more product than you need.
Burt’s Bees Sensitive Eye Cream
I haven’t used eye cream in some time and I’m always complaining about the dark circles under my eyes so I thought it was about time I bought one. I thought I’d try this one by Burt’s Bees, a lightweight cream formulated with Cotton Extract. This eye cream is quite cooling and feels nice when applied however I’ve seen no difference to my under eye area yet.
Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Chantilly
This concealer has been on my wish list for ages and I finally got my hands on it! This concealer is highly raved about in the blogging world so I had high hopes for it. I picked up Chantilly, the lightest shade and so far I’m a bit unsure about it. It doesn’t seem as creamy as my favourite Collection Lasting Perfection concealer, the coverage isn’t that great and by the end of the day when I go to remove my make up it has ended up really patchy. I don’t know if I should have got the second lightest shade, Vanilla, if it’s anything to do with my dry skin or if it’s just a product that has been majorly over hyped.
Clinique Cheek Pop in Melon Pop
I’ve had my eye on these Cheek Pops by Clinique for some time, they are just the prettiest blushes I’ve ever seen! The daisy print is just lovely and the shade Melon Pop is absolutely gorgeous. Really subtle on my pale skin, I own no other blush like it. I’m definitely going to be buying more from this range! I love the look of Berry Pop and Pink Pop!
Clinique Pop Lip Colour in Sweet Pop
When I saw this lipstick in Sweet Pop, I just knew I had to get it. This is a great everyday pink shade, the texture feels so luxurious on the lips and they are also really moisturising. The lasting power isn’t as good as Clinique suggest (8 hours), it’s more like 2-3 hours but this is still really good when compared to other lipsticks in my collection. I will definitely be picking up some more shades!
