5 Current Favourite Budget Beauty Buys

Most of the make up products I own are budget buys, I love a good bargain. Don’t get me wrong, I love the odd splurge now and again on make up but I can’t do this often so it’s always a treat when I do. There are a lot of drugstore products that I consider ‘holy grail’ and will forever repurchase, one of those products is featured in this post. However my favourites change every now and then, I’ll rediscover something I had previously loved and forgotten about or I’d buy something new and fall in love. So today I thought I would share with you my 5 current favourite budget beauty buys..

The first is a product that will forever be classed as a holy grail make up item of mine, the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer. I have tried many concealers in the past but none of them deliver the goods like this one. It conceals the under eye area so well without any creasing which I find a lot of concealers can do on my dry skin and it lasts a fair few hours without going patchy like my Nars one. This is probably like my 5th tube and I’m nearly finished, the product lasts a heck of a long time too.

For foundation, I love the L’Oreal True Match Foundation. It’s been a fair few weeks since I last wore this however only because I wanted a much lighter base for the warmer, summer months. I will definitely be wearing this again as we come into Autumn. This has to be my second favourite drugstore foundation after the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum (not featured as I currently don’t own it!). It doesn’t cling to my dry skin which is a must whilst providing excellent coverage. The shade range is, in my opinion, one of the best for a drugstore foundation. The lightest shade, C1 Rose Ivory is the perfect match for my pale skin. Definitely looking at repurchasing this!

We all need a primer underneath our foundation if we want it to last longer and it gets no better then the Rimmel Lasting Finish Primer. Especially good if you have dry skin like myself as this has a lightweight creamy texture rather than the silicone texture you get with, for example, the Benefit Porefessional. It absorbs into the skin quickly whilst mattifying the skin, reducing pores and evening out your skin tone.

I have featured the Maybelline Color Drama Velvet Lip Pencils on the blog many times before but I just have to feature them again. I seriously love these lip pencils. Long lasting, comfortable to wear, super pigmented with a lovely range of shades on offer. I can’t get enough of my favourite shade, ‘In With Coral’. It’s so beautiful.

I don’t contour that often but whenever I do, I always reach for my little Sleek Contour Palette. With skin as pale as mine, contouring can be a little daunting. Hence why I don’t do it that often. However this contour palette makes it a little bit easier and a little less intimidating. If you end up going a little overboard, it’s easy to correct. However with a light hand this palette can give great definition to your cheekbones.
