My Small But Ever Growing Blush Collection

My Small But Ever Growing Blush Collection

After lipstick, blushers are my most hoarded beauty item. For a beauty blogger, my collection may seem small but it’s growing all the time. As someone who used to not wear any blush at all, for fear of it being too noticeable on my uber pale skin, it’s pretty crazy that I now wear it on a daily basis. In fact I can’t not wear it. Most of the blushers in my collection are powder blushes, this is my favourite formula however I am starting to fall in love with cream blushes and the dewy look they can give to my skin.

My Small But Ever Growing Blush Collection

Starting with the cheapest of the bunch is a blush from one of my favourite brands, Makeup Revolution. The Blushing Hearts Triple Baked Blusher in Peachy Pink Kisses is a great dupe for the more pricer Too Faced Sweetheart Blushes. On my pale skin this blush can also double up as a highlighter and it adds a really lovely glow to my cheeks. You do however have to be really careful with this as I find it’s really easy to go overboard and well, you don’t want that. Well at least I don’t!

I own three blushes from Max Factor as they are one of my favourite drugstore brands. The first is a cream blush, the Miracle Touch Creamy Blush in Soft Pink. This was my first ever cream blush and it made me fall in love with the formula. It gives a lovely dewy glow with a nice pop of colour. My only gripe is the packaging as it’s so tiny and flimsy. The other Max Factor blushes are the newer, beautiful Creme Puff Blushes. I adore these blushes a lot. I currently own 15 Seductive Pink and 05 Lovely Pink. Lovely Pink is my most worn shade as it’s really subtle and perfect for everyday wear. Read my full review here.

The Topshop Glow Stick is a fairly new addition to my collection after winning it last month, you can read that post here. According to the Topshop website this is actually supposed to be a highlighter however on me, it is most definitely a blush! This is a really lovely cream formula that has a gorgeous dewy finish.

On to the more pricier, higher end blushes we have two from Nars & MAC that I purchased from the amazing site that is Cohorted. I’ll admit that these two blushes are actually really similar, the MAC Blush in Peachy Keen being a little bit more peachy (hence the name) then the Nars Blush in Orgasm which is a lot lighter and more shimmery. I would say maybe stay clear of these blushes if lots of shimmer isn’t your kind of thing, they both have a fair amount of shimmer in them but I don’t mind, I love them both a lot and they were definitely worth paying a little bit extra than I normally would for a blush.

Last but not least is my newest blush and my current favourite, the Clinique Cheek Pop in Melon Pop. This is just the most beautiful blush ever in my opinion. Look at that daisy print! I could stare at it all day. Theres no other blush in my collection like it, it’s so subtle on pale skin and just adds a slight hint of colour. It’s just beautiful. That’s all I can say!

What is your current favourite blush?

  • Such a good collection – I have very few blushers I just don't know where to start with them! This is a really handy post and most of these blushers seem really good!

  • These all look and sound beautiful! I have pale skin too so they're right up my alley.
I've been lusting after those Clinique Cheek Pops ever since they came out, and I think it's time to finally make the splurge…!!

  • I'm in love with the Clinique Cheek Pops – definitely getting my hands on some more! x

  • They are all really lovely x

  • Lovely collection. Peachy Keen is really beautiful and so is Orgasm. I have a mini Super Orgasm that I found in TKMaxx for less than £10 (lucky, I know) and I love it. Always tap off the excess glitter and it's great. x
