First of all, I want to apologise for not posting in two weeks. I’ve not been too well plus I haven’t really been in the mood for blogging, but I’m back now and I promise – no more breaks! Today I’m sharing everything I bought whilst I was in Fuerteventura a few weeks back. As Fuerteventura is outside of the EU, everything is duty free so a lot cheaper then at home so I obviously took the opportunity to buy certain products I’ve been after and others that caught my eye whilst browsing. It’s safe to say I could of bought a hell of a lot more but I resisted..
I’m a huge fan of the original Marc Jacobs Daisy perfume and have been after Daisy Dream for some time. I picked up the 50ml version and saved around £20 by buying it on holiday. I have to say I think I prefer this perfume over the original Daisy. It’s a lot lighter but still very floral and fruity, it’s gorgeous! Fragrance notes include Blackberry, Jasmine and Coconut Water. This would be a great summer perfume, what a shame we’re just coming into winter!
The YSL Touche Eclat is a highly loved and much coveted item in the beauty world, everyone but me seemed to own this must have product so obviously I needed to get my hands on it. The price always put me off, I’m not really one to splurge often on beauty, however being on holiday, I made an exception and I’m so glad I did! Touche Eclat, as I’m sure you know, is a complexion highlighter that can be used pretty much anywhere on the face. You can use it to conceal dark circles, highlight cheekbones and brow bones, plump your lips and so much more. I absolutely love this! I love that I managed to get the collectors edition – look at that packaging! *swoon*
Next up is the stunning Color Riche La Palette Nude Rose from L’Oreal, I’ve seen this many times on the stands in Boots but always resisted as I have far too many eyeshadows palettes, I really don’t need anymore or so I tell myself. But when I saw this at the airport on my way home, temptation got the better of me. This palette contains 10 gorgeous nude shades ranging from dusky pinks to deep purples, look out for a full review coming soon!
Lastly we have the LOLA Makeup Finishing Brush that I ended up getting for free thanks to a €15 off voucher! I was really excited to use this brush and I had high hopes for it but unfortunately I ended up being majorly disappointed with it. I thought the softness of this brush was a good thing but in fact it’s too flimsy, absolutely horrible at applying foundation with and I ended up with bristles that had come off stuck to my face so I had to pick them off. Considering the price, this should not be brush you consider ‘cheap’ but it really is. I don’t know if I just got unlucky and picked up a bad one or if they are all like this however I would definitely not recommend! I’m so glad this ended up being free.
