If you’re a regular reader here, you’ve most likely seen my monthly posts on the Birchbox beauty subscription box. My favourite beauty box and the most rewarding of them all, Birchbox has an amazing loyalty system that gives you the chance to build up points each month by reviewing products, answering surveys, referring friends and more. This then adds up and you can spend you’re earned points in Birchbox’s own online shop, I recently built up to £40 worth of points so decided to have a little spree before Christmas.
First up is a repurchase of my favourite oil, NUXE Huile Prodigieuse Oil which I got to try a sample of earlier this year and absolutely loved. It’s a multi purpose oil for hair, face and body containing ingredients such as hazelnut and macadamia. I’ve only ever used it on my face and it leaves it feeling soft and hydrated without that greasy, heavy feeling. Now that I have a larger bottle, I’m definitely going to try it out on my hair too.
I also bought another product from NUXE, a product constantly raved about in the blogging world. The NUXE Reve De Miel Lip Balm is a thick, luxurious lip balm that leaves my dry lips feeling soft and nourished without the usual heavy, sticky feeling that some lip balms can give. I can now see why it’s so loved and I’ve used so much already! Another bonus is that it smells just like Terry’s Chocolate Orange, yum!
I’ve read and heard many good things about Benefit’s Erase Paste so I was eager to try it out. Erase Paste is a brightening concealer that targets dark circles, discolouration and imperfections. It’s quite a thick, creamy concealer and a little definitely goes a long way. I’m not too sure if I like this yet, I think it may be a little too dark for me (I got the lightest shade available, Fair) but I will continue to use it and see how I get on.
I’ve always been intrigued by the ever popular Mary-Lou Manizer highlighter from theBalm. Is it really worth the hype? I decided to buy it to see and it really is! This highlighter adds an absolutely stunning luminous glow to the cheekbones and has become my favourite highlighter pretty quickly (Sorry, High Beam!). It is also the prettiest product to look at, almost too good to use! This honey-hued luminizer has incredible pigmentation and the loveliest buttery soft texture. I’m in love!
