What I Got For Christmas

As I mentioned on my 2015 favourites post, I wasn’t very well over Christmas so I didn’t have the best day however I got some really lovely presents and thought I would share what I got with you all. I’ve really enjoyed reading these kind of posts over the past few days as I’m incredibly nosy! So, this is not me bragging about what I got at all, I just wanted to do a post myself!

What I Got For Christmas

Starting with my biggest presents and 2 amazing gift sets from Soap & Glory! They really outdid themselves this year with the all their Christmas gift sets, they were all really good! I was so happy to get not just one but TWO of them. I received Soaper Star which comes in a huge box and is going to come in so handy for storage purposes! In the box, there is a full sized Clean On Me Shower Gel, The Scrub Of Your Life Body Buffer, The Righteous Butter Body Butter, Heel Genius, Hand Food, A pink body polisher and a cute pair of pink fluffy socks!! The other gift set is Once Upon A Lime which contains some of my favourite Soap & Glory body products in my favourite scent, Sugar Crush! Inside is the Sugar Crush Body Scrub, Body Wash, Body Buttercream, Hand Food and another body polisher.

Real Techniques brushes are my absolute favourite so I was pretty excited to receive the Deluxe Holiday Gift set which includes the Multi task brush, Tapered foundation brush, Angled highlighter brush, Base shadow brush and Fine liner brush along with a silver clutch. Other beauty/skincare gift sets I’ve received were the Seventeen Mini Lip Gloss Collection, French Connection Full on Beauty Set & REN Skincare Regime Set. I also received a bottle of Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover which I can’t wait to try!

What I Got For Christmas

My best friend got me a beautiful Pandora purple leather bracelet which I absolutely love along with a cute little Best Friend charm, so sweet! I also received two other charms: A paw charm which says ‘I love my pet’ on the opposite side and a Christmas teddy bear charm, both are completely adorable! If you know me, you’ll know I’m obsessed with The Walking Dead, it’s my absolute favourite show so now I have Season Five to add to my DVD collection! I’m always in need of more storage so this ‘Really Useful Box’ is going to be really useful, hehe! The little boxes are the perfect size to store jewellery, hair ties etc in.

A girl can never have too many handbags in my opinion and I got two this Christmas! A small real leather crossbody bag which is perfect for when I don’t want to carry a lot around with me and a larger blue tote bag which is absolutely stunning! I also got two make up bags: One star print and one eyelash print.

What I Got For Christmas

This Christmas was the second year I got a stocking from my mum (I’m a big kid, I know!) and it was filled to the brim with goodies. Inside was a Jasmine Noir Reed Diffuser which smells amazing! A 20-piece make up brush set which mainly consists of eye brushes, A stunning floral print notebook for all my blog post planning, quirky Christmas gloves which I’m sad I can’t wear now until the lead up to next Christmas, how fab are they though?! I love them!! I also got two pairs of Christmas socks, a Moustache nail file, A little duck lip balm, Essence Stampy Set, Essence Jelly Nail Polish, Collection Fast Stroke Eyeliner and a pair of Collection Luscious Lashes.

What did you get for Christmas? If you’ve written a blog post, please share the link as I’d love to have a read!

December’s Birchbox is a little different than usual. Instead of a box, we have this stunning clutch bag perfect for the festive season! Inside are 7 fabulous samples from some great brands and in my opinion it’s the best Birchbox since I subscribed earlier this year. Seeing as this is the last Birchbox of 2015, why not go back and check out all my reviews since April? Especially if you’re contemplating signing up in 2016. You can all of them here.

I was so happy to see the Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream included this month. I’ve wanted to try this for a long time  but it’s pretty expensive at £80! I definitely won’t be using this every day so it lasts for some time! This is an anti-aging cream that has been clinically proven to reduce wrinkles, improve firmness and hydration in just 15 days. Yes, I may not need to be worrying about aging at 23 but I do believe in prevention so these products are very welcome in my skincare routine!

Next is a gorgeous lipstick from Model Co. It’s the Ultra Long Lasting Lipstick in ‘Kitty’. A hydrating, semi-matte nude pink lip colour that is just stunning, I’ve been wanting a lip shade like this recently. This lipstick has a vitamin rich formula that heals dryness for comfortable wear and long lasting colour.

I feel like I’ve been inundated with body washes/shower gel samples from beauty boxes recently so I did sigh a little when I saw this Skin & Co Sicilian Body Gel in the bag. This does have a gorgeous zesty scent though so I am looking forward to trying it.

One of my favourite nail polish brands are Ciate and I especially love their glitter nail paint pots! This is the Mini Paint Pot in ‘Serendipity’. This is beautiful and perfect for this time of the year! I may even go and paint my nails with it when I’m done writing this post!

There is a little sample of Roloxin Lift Instant Skin Smoothing Masque included this month. I’ve never heard of Roloxin before so I’m intrigued by these single use treatments. They are said to be like a ‘face lift on demand’ fading wrinkles, diminishing pores and smoothing out irregularities lasting up to 24 hours. I’m really excited to try this treatment out!

Lastly, there are two samples from one of my favourite brands, Benefit and are two products that I’m yet to try! Puff Off is the one I’m most excited about due to me having majorly puffy eyes most mornings, I’m intrigued to see how well this works! The full size version has a cooling tip that is said to be as soothing as placing cucumber slices over your eyes so I’m a little sad the sample version does not have this but I’m hoping the gel itself is enough to get a good feel for this product.

The other product is the They’re Real Push Up Liner. I’ve seen mixed reviews about this but I’m excited to try it out and see how it fairs myself. It is a waterproof gel liner with an AccuFlex tip that is said to be tug free with a wide guard to gently shift lashes out of the away for a smooth application which is what I struggle with most when it comes to eyeliner so I’m looking forward to seeing how well I can apply this!

Like the look of this months Birchbox? Well, you can still get your hands on this months stunning clutch and all these great products featured (some may differ from what I received) and all upcoming ones in 2016 by subscribing before December 31st! All for only £12.95 a month. Just use my link here and we’ll both get £5 to spend in the Birchbox shop.

Birchbox has one of the best reward programmes, simply review all your products each month and eventually you’ll have enough to have a little spree in the shop. I’m now at £40 worth of points and will be having a spree very soon so check back in January for a haul post!
