Look Fantastic April Beauty Box
Look Fantastic April Beauty Box

As you probably know by now, the Look Fantastic box is a monthly non-subscription (however, if you prefer you can purchase 3, 6 or 12 month plans) beauty box featuring 6 sample or full size items, I have previously reviewed the February and March boxes which were great, however I’m not too impressed with this months (worth £45.00) as it only featured one make up product and two really odd items I would not expect to receive in a beauty box…

Look Fantastic Beauty Box

Bed Head by Tigi Manipulator
This product by Bed Head by Tigi is a texture paste made to add texture and volume to your hair. I’m not sure how this will do on my long hair as these products are usually good for shorter hair, however I will be trying it out and if it doesn’t work then I’ll be passing it on to my mother who uses these type of products.

CB12 Mouthwash
Now we have the first of two odd products, a CB12 Mouthwash. Now I have heard good things about this mouthwash and will probably use this as I do use mouthwash every day, however it is just not something you expect to receive in a beauty box. It is also quite pricey for a mouthwash, a full size version is £14.59, so I will probably just stick to my Colgate mouthwash which comes in at under £2 and does the job just fine.

Balance Me Revitalising Hand and Body Wash
I actually already have a full size version of this currently sitting on my bathroom sink to wash my hands with. It is a great product and doesn’t leave my hands feeling dry like most other soaps and hand washes can. I’m nearly finished the full size version now so this will definitely come in handy.

INIKA Certified Organic Eye Liner in 05 Black Caviar
The only make up product in this months box comes from INIKA and it is there Certified Organic Eye Liner in 05 Black Caviar. A lovely eyeliner, glides on really easily and it is very creamy. However I’m just disappointed that we got another eyeliner having received a Bellapierre eyeliner in February’s box and a Lord & Berry eyeliner in last month’s. How about another type of make up product next month, Look Fantastic?

Korres Calendula Softening Soap
This Korres soap is made for use on your whole body and face, it contains Calendula which possesses emollient and mild antiseptic properties and Vitamin E that protects and conditions the skin. The fact that you can use this on your face intrigues me and this is definitely how I’m going to be trying this product out.

Forza Multivitamins For Dieters
The last product in the box and in my opinion, the most odd product you can get in a beauty box comes from Forza and it is their Multivitamins for Dieters. Ok, a great product for dieters who need to take these due to losing out on vital vitamins etc. However, this is a personal choice and not something you should be receiving in a box like this. I won’t be taking these as I’m already taking Vitamin C tablets and other supplements.

That’s all the products featured in April’s box, you can probably tell how I’m not overly impressed with this months box! However, it won’t stop be from buying next months as the previous two months have been great and I know that Look Fantastic can deliver a great box. Hopefully May’s will be brilliant! Fingers crossed. If you like the look of this box or the Look Fantastic box in general, you can buy it here for £15.

March Favourites

Another month has come and gone, how quickly did March go?! It literally flew by but hopefully now the warmer weather will be on its way, fingers crossed! Anyway, these kind of posts are some of my favourites to read so I thought I would do one myself and this will probably become a regular thing on here. Here’s what I’ve been loving in March…

Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette
I’m a little late on the bandwagon with the Urban Decay palettes, having only bought Naked 3 last month due to much deliberation on whether I could justify the £38 price tag as in my eyes it’s a little pricey. However, in the end I just thought sod it and bought it, so glad I did! I’ve been using this palette almost non stop this month, all the shades are right up my street and perfect for everyday wear. The eyeshadows are so pigmented and last all day even without primer! I’m now trying to decide which to purchase next, Naked 1 or 2?! Hm..

Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub
I absolutely adore this body scrub from Soap & Glory that I bought a few weeks back when I did a mini Soap & Glory haul. Not only does its lime scent smell divine, it also works wonders leaving my skin feeling soft and smooth, even the dry areas like the knees, elbows etc. You only need a small amount when applying so this tub will last a good while which is always a good thing!

Caudalie Beauty Elixir
I decided to purchase this product by Caudalie after reading and hearing many bloggers and youtubers rave about it. The Caudalie Beauty Elixir is a face mist that can be used before you apply moisturiser or over your make up to refresh your face and it does exactly that, I can see this being used a lot during the summer months too. The only thing I don’t like about this is the smell, it is a little strong and overpowering if I’m honest.

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara
My new favourite mascara, I’ve pretty much used it everyday this month. It gives great volume and length with great lasting power. I’ve reviewed it here.

VO5 Smoothly Does It Frizz Free Creme
For a while now I’ve been trying many products to tame my frizzy hair but not one of them worked. So I bought this from VO5 and I have finally found one that does the job! I apply a small amount on damp, towel dried hair and blow dry then voila, no frizz! It also contains heat defence which is great as I’m always forgetting to apply heat protection.

What have you been loving this month?

Soap & Glory are without a doubt one of my favourite brands. The packaging is quite unique and is admittedly what draws you in (or maybe that’s just me?) but the products definitely do not disappoint. I went into Boots the other day with the sole intention of buying some Soap & Glory goodies and funnily enough Boots had 3 for 2 on all skincare and bodycare items, woo! Here is what I picked up..

Soap & Glory Hand Food Hand Cream £5.50 – My favourite hand cream, ever. Before I discovered this holy grail item of mine, I really struggled to find a hand cream that worked. Most would only keep my hands feeling smooth for a few minutes before feeling dry again, so I’d have to keep reapplying. However this just works wonderfully. If you haven’t found a good hand cream yet, I definitely recommend you try this.

Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub £8.00 – I haven’t tried any Soap & Glory body scrubs yet but I have read good things about this Sugar Crush one. It also smells so damn good! Can’t wait to give it a whirl, hopefully it won’t disappoint!

Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Wash £6.50 – I had previously owned the Soap & Glory Clean On Me Shower Gel and loved it, but I thought I’d pick something different up this time. So I chose this, I’ll be honest it was mostly because of how it smells, it smells so zesty and I just love it. Can’t wait to try it out.

Soap & Glory Archery Brow Tint & Pencil in Brownie Points £10.00 – This is my first Soap & Glory make up product, mainly due to the fact my local Boots has only just started stocking Soap & Glory make up and it is still very limited (hopefully they’ll stock more soon!). So when I saw this, having read many good reviews about it, I had to pick it up. My brows are mess right now, but once I’ve been for a tidy up, I’ll definitely be giving this a go. A review may come very soon!

That’s all the products I got, I did want to pick up a few more bits but my local Boots doesn’t have the best stock range, I do hope they’ll start stocking a few more products in the future.

What’s your favourite Soap & Glory product? Let me know!

The Look Fantastic beauty box is a monthly beauty box brought to us by online beauty store, Look Fantastic. It is a non subscription box meaning you can order whenever you like unlike many other beauty boxes which I like a lot, although Look Fantastic have just set up a subscription service for the boxes if you prefer that. The box contains 6 beauty products, all worth £48 for £15.00 which is amazing!
Let’s have a look at the products in February’s box..
The Dr Paw Paw Original Balm is a multipurpose soothing balm for lips, skin, hair, cuticles and nails. I’m abit of a lip balm hoarder so I was really excited to receive this, having used it a little already I’m impressed, it’s very moisturising. Will definitely consider buying this in the future.
Having not heard about Bellapierre before I’m looking forward to trying this, I do like wearing a bit of eyeliner every now and then. The colour is really nice also.
I was so excited to see this in the box! Definitely my favourite product. I love using Moroccanoil products on my hair, they improve it ALOT and it sure does need it!
This. Smells. Absolutely. Wonderful. I have never tried Korres before, but have always been intrigued by them. After trying this I will definitely be purchasing some of their products. Do you have any recommendations?
I love a good primer and definitely love my Benefit ‘Porefessional’ primer the most. This Monu primer is quite different to the Porefessional so I’m quite excited to try it out. I may do a proper review on this at a later date.
Last but not least..
I’ll be honest when I first saw this I was like ‘What the hell is this?’ .. I’m definitely really excited to try this and see the results it gives.
This was my first box from Look Fantastic and I’m definitely considering buying another next month, I also think this is one of the best beauty boxes around so if you would like to have one yourself go buy it now at Look Fantastic for £15.. I wouldn’t be surprised if it sold out soon so hurry!
