This is the third monthly post where I share my favourite posts I’ve read in the past month and basically just share the love! If you want to go back and read the past two months, you can do so: September, October. It’s a bit of a mix this month with festive posts, helpful blogging tips and more. Have fun reading! And make sure you follow these amazing blogs too!

The Pros and Cons of Working with BrandsJasmine from Jasmine Talks Beauty put together a post on everything good and bad about working with brands on your blog. I’ve only recently started having brands contact me so I’m yet to have many of these experiences however it’s a good read just to know what to expect when it does happen.

Gift Guide: Beauty – It’s almost Christmas and loads of bloggers are publishing helpful gift guides. Kate from Kate La Vie wrote a really great gift guide for the beauty lover in your life (other than yourself, unless you buy yourself Christmas presents..)

Five Travel Skincare Essentials – If you’re off travelling over Christmas either on a nice Winter holiday (lucky buggers!) or visiting family, Suzie from Hello October has put together a post on the 5 skincare products she considers essential for travel. Although, if you’re anything like me and a major handbag lover you may just spend a lot of time staring at that gorgeous bag.. *drool*

Things Kids Today Will Never Understand – If you’re a UK 90s kid, this is quite a funny read from Corrie at Dizzybrunette. It’s all so true! Top of the pops, SMTV live, MSN.. oh how I miss it all! You’ll be left feeling quite nostalgic after reading this..

How To Make Your Pictures Look Light and Bright – If you struggle when editing your blog photos then Mollie at Mollie Manning’s post is for you. It can be quite difficult in the winter to get bright blog photos and it can also be difficult when editing your photos to try and not distort the photo in any way, you don’t want the products you photographing to look any different from how they look in real life so Mollie’s post is really helpful.

Last month, I shared 5 posts I enjoyed reading in September, you can read that here. I’ve decided to do this post again now that we’re coming to the end of October. I haven’t read as many blog posts as I usually would this month, due to being away from home however I still have a few favourites that I want to share with you all.

Concealers, Compared – I’m a huge concealer fan, mainly due to the fact that I have horrible under eyes that need a high coverage concealer applied every day or else I just look.. awful. So it’s no surprise I absolutely loved Amy from Get Glam’s post comparing different concealers. If you’re currently on the look out for a new concealer definitely check this post out!

The pale skin foundation library – This is such a helpful post from Kat at Tales Of A Pale Face. It’s tough for us pale skin girls to find the right foundation so when I saw this post pop up on my Bloglovin feed, I bookmarked it straight away and will definitely check it out next time I need a new foundation. Kat has featured 21 foundations in this post so if you need help choosing a foundation, go have a read.

15 Winter Blog Post Ideas – Having trouble figuring out blog post ideas for winter? Then Hayley from Tea Party Beauty has got you covered! 15 post ideas of all different topics such as beauty and food.

The New Bloggers Handbook: All You Need To Know, But May Be Afraid To Ask – I’m not sure if I’m still considered a new blogger but I certainly still feel like it! I still have a lot to learn and this post from Hayley at London Beauty Queen is so helpful! If you’re thinking of starting a blog, have just started one or simply like me, still need a little help then Hayley has put together a post featuring 10 different blog posts she has written to help bloggers out – stuff like SEO, blog photos and working with brands.

Dairy Milk cupcakes recipe – This last post is something a little different – a recipe from Becky at milk bubble tea for Dairy milk cupcakes. Yes, you read that right – dairy milk cupcakes. YUM. Just look at them! I’m not really one for baking however I’m definitely going to give these a go soon, I don’t care that I’m trying to eat healthy post-holiday…

I hope you enjoy reading these posts! Which posts have you loved reading this month? Feel free to share!

What's In My Handbag | Travel Edition

I’m a really nosey person so it’s no surprise that What’s In My Handbag posts are one of my favourite posts to read and as I’ve never done one I thought I would do a travel edition of whats in my handbag! featuring everything I’m taking in my carry on handbag to Fuerteventura including the essentials and some non-essentials (because we always have them!). I’m using my gorgeous suede fringe tote from Miss Selfridge as it’s really roomy so I can fit a lot in there without it going annoyingly bulky.

What's In My Handbag | Travel Edition

We’ll start with the important essentials such as my passport. That’s obviously in there because I couldn’t get to Fuerteventura without it! My Michael Kors purse and some euros are included, because you know I need to pop into duty free at the airport and if I have no money then the damage can’t be done and obviously, I need money on me while on holiday. A product I can’t live without is my iPhone 5s, it’s pretty self explanatory. How pretty is my glitter case from Skinny Dip?

My Birchbag has come in pretty handy and it’s home to all my liquids. As you probably know, security only allow 100ml liquids to be brought through and they all have to be in a clear bag! In there I have a travel size version of my favourite Soap & Glory Hand Food, this was just a must buy as I couldn’t fit the full size in and a week without it would just be a tragedy (ok, maybe that’s a little OTT). I’m not much of a germaphobe however planes are dirty places so when I can’t get to the bathroom to wash my hands this ALDI Aqua V Sanitising Hand Gel will come in handy. Being stuck on a plane for over 4 hours means I’m probably gonna need to freshen up so I’ve popped a deodorant (not pictured) and my favourite Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb perfume in. I’ve also included my little Birchbrush incase any knots appear in my hair or I fall asleep and end up with plane bed head.

I’m a contact lens wearer but since I’ve started wearing them I have not been on a plane and I’ve heard your eyes can dry up whilst in the air and become uncomfortable so I’m bringing my lens case on the plane with me just incase I need to take them out, so obviously my glasses are a must too because y’know I need to be able to see.

I don’t really need any make up however just to look a little more alive I’ve included my Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer for my pesky dark circles as it is an early morning flight to Fuerteventura after all! I’ve also popped in MAC Creme Cup incase I feel like wearing it however I’ll probably just stick to my Nivea Raspberry Rose Lip Butter to keep my lips moisturised.

The last thing is the time passer, 4 hours is quite a long time so I need something to keep me occupied. I’ve really been loving colouring at the moment, I find it so fun, stress relieving and relaxing. I’m not a nervous flyer but I can get a bit nervy at times so this should help. The Colour Me Mindful Tropical colouring book is my current favourite, it’s very holiday apt too.

What would be included in your carry on bag?

I’m probably the only person who is happy that September is over. I wouldn’t usually be however October is going to be an exciting month and in just under 2 weeks I’m jetting off to Fuerteventura for a week in the sun and as you can imagine, I can’t wait! This month’s favourites are a little different than usual as I haven’t really bought much in the way of beauty as I’ve been saving up for my holiday and buying bits to take with me too.

I’m not usually one to read books (bad, I know) however when I finally sit down with one, I can get caught up in it and end up reading for hours on end without even knowing the time is passing. The Girl On The Train is no exception, this book is filled with thrill, suspense, mystery and where I’m at right now I have no clue what is going on but I can’t wait to finish it to find out its conclusion!

Since repurchasing the Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub earlier this month, I’ve fallen back in love with it. It transforms my dry, sore and cracked lips into soft and supple lips, I absolutely love this stuff! It tastes pretty good too!

Recently I’ve been suffering with a huge amount of breakouts of unsightly and sore blemishes on my chin and jawline area. I have no idea what has been causing it but it’s been bothering me a fair bit so I’ve been trying all sorts to try and get rid. The Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant has worked an absolute charm, reducing the blemishes and scarring from past breakouts. A definite skincare staple, especially if you have sensitive skin and find exfoliating scrubs too harsh on the skin.

The Alterna Caviar CC Cream I received in my August Look Fantastic box has quickly become a haircare favourite. I use this after washing my hair and before drying to achieve shine, softness and manageability while also providing my hair with moisture, UV protection and strength. It’s a really lovely product!

Last but not least is the Cargo Cosmetics Northern Lights Eyeshadow Palette. I’ve fallen head over heels for this. All the shades are perfect for autumn/winter and are super pigmented with intense colour. You can read my full review here.

What have you been loving in September?
