The Cohorted Beauty Box is a new beauty box brought to us by Cohorted. Who I’m sure you’ve all heard of, but if not, Cohorted offer us four new cohorts every week, sometimes quite hard to get products in the UK and from brands such as Mac or Urban Decay at a discounted price. You just join the cohort you want and the more people who join it it will go down in price. There is a maximum discount though and you will all pay the same price. So with the launch of the beauty box, they also re-launched their site so they now offer a whole load more beauty products at discounted prices too. You can check them out here.
The February box went on sale on the 9th February at 6pm, there were a few problems ordering, but this was to be expected as there were only 100 boxes available and so many people wanted one so the site was exceptionally slow. Eventually I managed to place an order about 6:30pm and the box arrived about a week later. The box did come wrapped in a little bow which was a nice touch but impatient me undid it without taking a photo!
Dolce & Gabbana Clarifying Lotion 150ml £20 – This was the first product I was drawn to, obviously due to the gold packaging! I was quite excited to see this in the box as for one, it’s a full sized product and from Dolce & Gabbana! I’m looking forward to giving this a go but I have read that it’s no longer being produced which is a bit disappointing so I’m hoping I don’t like it too much that I want another bottle when this one is finished!
Benefit Bella Bamba Lipgloss 15ml £14.50 – I’m a huge Benefit fan but funnily enough have never tried any of their lip products. I’m currently wearing this as I type and it is lovely. Non-sticky and really comfortable on the lips. The Bella Bamba is a sheer bright watermelon shade which is perfect for those days when you don’t want to wear a full coverage lip product but still want to wear something on your lips. Like the Dolce & Gabbana Clarifying Lotion above, I’m quite disappointed to have read that the Bella Bamba is also apparently being discontinued.
Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara 3ml £8.00 – Another mascara to add to my already overflowing mascara collection, but I’m not complaining! Bobbi Brown is a brand I’ve always wanted to try, but haven’t yet so I was excited to see this in the box! It is said to give you thicker, fuller, bolder lashes in a single stroke and is meant to be the perfect compliment to a smokey eye look (as the name suggests!) I can’t wait to give it a try!
Korres Milk Proteins Foaming Cream Cleanser 50ml £15.00 – If you read my post on the Look Fantastic box you’ll remember me mentioning about purchasing some more Korres products after receiving the Citrus Body Milk in that box, so I was pretty happy when I saw this box contained not one, but two products from Korres! I’m looking forward to giving this cleanser a go.
Korres Quercetin and Oak Eye Primer 4ml £10.00 – The 2nd of the Korres products is this eye primer. An anti-ageing, crease resisting, matte finish, long lasting base for your concealer and eyeshadow. I already use the Makeup Revolution Focus & Fix Eye Primer for my eyeshadow base so I can’t wait to see how this compares to that. As for concealer, any of the concealers I wear seem to disappear after a while so it’ll be interesting to see if the Korres primer does help to keep my concealer in place.
That’s all the products featured in the February Cohorted Box. Overall, for the price (£19.99 not including postage) it is a very good box, as all the products featured are worth £67.00. The only disappointing thing is the fact there are two discontinued products in the box, but the chances of me ever wanting to buy them again are very slim anyway. The March box pre-order is currently sold out, but if any more become available I think I’ll definitely be purchasing another.
Were you able to get a Cohorted box? What do you think of it?
