Look Fantastic Beauty Box
Look Fantastic Beauty Box
You may remember on last months post about the Look Fantastic beauty box, I mentioned I would definitely be purchasing another box and when I saw that this months box would contain 6 products worth up to £71 (for only £15!), I couldn’t not order another! So I pre-ordered and waited for the box to arrive, I have to say this box is a lot better then February’s. Carry on reading to find out which products are featured in the Look Fantastic March Beauty Box….
Look Fantastic Beauty Box
Bliss Fat Girl Slim £10.40 –  This product by Bliss is a body firming cream which claims to make skin look and feel firmer, more toned and to reduce the appearance of cellulite. All you have to do is massage the cream into trouble spots for 20-30 seconds, twice a day. The cream is quite runny, so you have to be careful when opening, I nearly lost the lot! Oops. I’m looking forward to giving this a go, if it works, it may become a holy grail product for me!
The Wet Brush Squirts £7.99 – The Wet Brush is a hairbrush that is perfect for use on wet, knotty hair. It effortlessly detangles knots, pain free! In the box, I received the Wet Brush Squirts which is a smaller version of the original Wet Brush, meaning it can easily fit in my handbag for when I’m out and about and is also great for kids. I have used this brush already and it is even better than the Tangle Teezer and I never thought I would find another hairbrush that would top it. This brush effortlessly glides through my wet hair without feeling like I’m pulling at my hair damaging it. I was actually considering purchasing this brush a few weeks ago, I’m glad I waited now!
Cowshed Lippy Cow Natural Lip Balm £5.00 – Another lip balm! I have far too many lying around. I did try this out though and it is very soothing and moisturising. What I like the most is the fact it is a natural lip balm, containing no parabens or sulphates. It may become a favourite.
Nuxe Nuxellence Detox Detoxifying and Youth Revealing Anti-Aging Care My first Nuxe product! Nuxe is a brand I’ve always wanted to try but haven’t got round to yet so I was so excited to see this in the box. This formula claims to recharge your skin as you sleep, acting at the heart of skin cells to enhance cell renewal and detoxification. This anti-ageing product is tailored for all skin types and ages. You just apply it at night either on it’s own or under your night cream. Can’t wait to give it a go!
Lord & Berry Line/Shade Eye Pencil £9.00 – I used to never be seen without eyeliner, for some reason these days I don’t wear it that often, but this Lord & Berry Eye Pencil may be just the product to get me back into using eyeliner. It’s really blendable, creamy, long lasting and easy to apply unlike the Bellapierre eyeliner I received in last months box.
Nudestix Magnetic Eye Colour £24.00 – This last product is my favourite out of all 6, the Nudestix Magnetic Eye Colour is an eyeshadow in pencil form. I’ve never used an eyeshadow like this but have been intrigued by them lately especially after Bourjois launched their Colorband eyeshadows. I received the shade Gilt which is a lovely Gold shade. This formula is creamy, easy to apply and looks gorgeous. What I love the most though is that this eyeshadow does not budge, even without an eye primer! So this would be perfect for those of you with oily lids. I’m definitely considering buying another shade, I just can’t decide which!
Look Fantastic Beauty Box
Overall, this was a really great box, full of products I know I will get use out of. Much better then February’s box too. I’m considering purchasing the 3 month plan to receive the next 3 boxes because if they carry on being this good it’s totally worth it, you also save £5 with the 3 month plan so I might just do that! If you wish to purchase this months box, you still can as it is surprisingly still available for £15.00, just click here.

A couple of years ago I didn’t really bother with skincare, a bit of moisturiser before applying foundation, the occasional face mask and face wipes to remove make up. That was it. I wouldn’t say I have a proper routine set in stone even now, but I do take a bit more care with my skin. So I thought I would show you my current favourite skin care products.
Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water £4.99 – This stuff is great for removing make up, even stubborn mascara. I find I don’t need to use much to get all my make up off, 1 or 2 large cotton pads should do. Perfect.  It just makes make up removal so much easier, especially if you’re not up to doing a whole skincare routine at that moment in time.
Merumaya Melting Cleansing Balm £15.50 – I received this in a beauty box a few months ago and couldn’t wait to try it out having never used a cleansing balm before. It melts into the skin as the bottle says ’emulsifying make up’, you then add water and while you massage it turns into a light milk. I was expecting this to leave my face feeling a bit greasy afterwards but in fact it felt lovely, smooth and comfortable. This is also good for use after micellar water just to get rid of the make up and grime you may have missed. I’m definitely going to start using this a bit more.
The Body Shop Vitamin E Hydrating Toner £8.50 – This toner removes traces of make up and cleanser while hydrating your skin and is suitable for all skin types. I have to say since using this my skin has improved so much. I never used to see the point in these types of products but I’ve now learnt how good they really are. My skin feels a lot more refreshed after use. If you don’t use a toner, I definitely recommend doing so.
The Body Shop Tea Tree Cool & Creamy Wash £5.00 – I currently use this face wash once a week while showering. What I love most about this face wash is how cooling it is, it is lovely and refreshing. Perfect for washing your face in the morning, an instant wake me up.
Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask £23.00 – Twice a week I use this Origins overnight mask. I wake up with my skin feeling soft and hydrated. When I read this was a mask, I was expecting an actual face mask, how silly am i? This is more like a cream that sinks in to the skin when you apply it. I got this in a set of 3 Origins products for Christmas, I’m yet to use the other two products but if they’re as good as this mask, I can’t wait to give them a go.
Lancome Hydra Zen Neurocalm Moisturising Cream £35.55 – My current moisturiser is this little pot of Lancome Hydra Zen. I got this as a gift with two other Lancome products when I bought a Mac lipstick from Debenhams late last year. This moisturiser is the best I’ve used yet. It is said to leave the skin feeling soft, smooth and radiant. I totally agree.
What are your favourite skincare products? Let me know in the comments.

The Cohorted Beauty Box is a new beauty box brought to us by Cohorted. Who I’m sure you’ve all heard of, but if not, Cohorted offer us four new cohorts every week, sometimes quite hard to get products in the UK and from brands such as Mac or Urban Decay at a discounted price. You just join the cohort you want and the more people who join it it will go down in price. There is a maximum discount though and you will all pay the same price. So with the launch of the beauty box, they also re-launched their site so they now offer a whole load more beauty products at discounted prices too.  You can check them out here.

The February box went on sale on the 9th February at 6pm, there were a few problems ordering, but this was to be expected as there were only 100 boxes available and so many people wanted one so the site was exceptionally slow. Eventually I managed to place an order about 6:30pm and the box arrived about a week later. The box did come wrapped in a little bow which was a nice touch but impatient me undid it without taking a photo!
Dolce & Gabbana Clarifying Lotion 150ml £20 – This was the first product I was drawn to, obviously due to the gold packaging! I was quite excited to see this in the box as for one, it’s a full sized product and from Dolce & Gabbana! I’m looking forward to giving this a go but I have read that it’s no longer being produced which is a bit disappointing so I’m hoping I don’t like it too much that I want another bottle when this one is finished!
Benefit Bella Bamba Lipgloss 15ml £14.50 – I’m a huge Benefit fan but funnily enough have never tried any of their lip products. I’m currently wearing this as I type and it is lovely. Non-sticky and really comfortable on the lips. The Bella Bamba is a sheer bright watermelon shade which is perfect for those days when you don’t want to wear a full coverage lip product but still want to wear something on your lips. Like the Dolce & Gabbana Clarifying Lotion above, I’m quite disappointed to have read that the Bella Bamba is also apparently being discontinued.
Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara 3ml £8.00 – Another mascara to add to my already overflowing mascara collection, but I’m not complaining! Bobbi Brown is a brand I’ve always wanted to try, but haven’t yet so I was excited to see this in the box! It is said to give you thicker, fuller, bolder lashes in a single stroke and is meant to be the perfect compliment to a smokey eye look (as the name suggests!) I can’t wait to give it a try!
Korres Milk Proteins Foaming Cream Cleanser 50ml £15.00 – If you read my post on the Look Fantastic box you’ll remember me mentioning about purchasing some more Korres products after receiving the Citrus Body Milk in that box, so I was pretty happy when I saw this box contained not one, but two products from Korres! I’m looking forward to giving this cleanser a go.
Korres Quercetin and Oak Eye Primer 4ml £10.00 – The 2nd of the Korres products is this eye primer. An anti-ageing, crease resisting, matte finish, long lasting base for your concealer and eyeshadow. I already use the Makeup Revolution Focus & Fix Eye Primer for my eyeshadow base so I can’t wait to see how this compares to that. As for concealer, any of the concealers I wear seem to disappear after a while so it’ll be interesting to see if the Korres primer does help to keep my concealer in place.
That’s all the products featured in the February Cohorted Box. Overall, for the price (£19.99 not including postage) it is a very good box, as all the products featured are worth £67.00. The only disappointing thing is the fact there are two discontinued products in the box, but the chances of me ever wanting to buy them again are very slim anyway. The March box pre-order is currently sold out, but if any more become available I think I’ll definitely be purchasing another.
Were you able to get a Cohorted box? What do you think of it?

The Look Fantastic beauty box is a monthly beauty box brought to us by online beauty store, Look Fantastic. It is a non subscription box meaning you can order whenever you like unlike many other beauty boxes which I like a lot, although Look Fantastic have just set up a subscription service for the boxes if you prefer that. The box contains 6 beauty products, all worth £48 for £15.00 which is amazing!
Let’s have a look at the products in February’s box..
The Dr Paw Paw Original Balm is a multipurpose soothing balm for lips, skin, hair, cuticles and nails. I’m abit of a lip balm hoarder so I was really excited to receive this, having used it a little already I’m impressed, it’s very moisturising. Will definitely consider buying this in the future.
Having not heard about Bellapierre before I’m looking forward to trying this, I do like wearing a bit of eyeliner every now and then. The colour is really nice also.
I was so excited to see this in the box! Definitely my favourite product. I love using Moroccanoil products on my hair, they improve it ALOT and it sure does need it!
This. Smells. Absolutely. Wonderful. I have never tried Korres before, but have always been intrigued by them. After trying this I will definitely be purchasing some of their products. Do you have any recommendations?
I love a good primer and definitely love my Benefit ‘Porefessional’ primer the most. This Monu primer is quite different to the Porefessional so I’m quite excited to try it out. I may do a proper review on this at a later date.
Last but not least..
I’ll be honest when I first saw this I was like ‘What the hell is this?’ .. I’m definitely really excited to try this and see the results it gives.
This was my first box from Look Fantastic and I’m definitely considering buying another next month, I also think this is one of the best beauty boxes around so if you would like to have one yourself go buy it now at Look Fantastic for £15.. I wouldn’t be surprised if it sold out soon so hurry!
